Dr Nicholas Tziavaras graduated from Sydney University in 1988. He completed General Practice training through the RACGP program, gaining FRCAGP in 1995. He spent initial time in general practice in a group practice in Neutral Bay, Sydney before moving to the Blue Mountains and setting up General Practice Leura in 2005. He is passionate about patients receiving comprehensive health care in a timely, affordable manner. He has a special interest in the management of chronic health conditions. Helping patients live independent lives. Outside of medicine, he is married with 2 adult children. His interests include sports, such as rugby league, cricket (umpiring the occasional game) and trying to keep fit and healthy.

Working with GP Leura over the last 2 years with more than 20 years experience working in the Blue Mountains and ongoing involvement in supervising and teaching our next generation of GPs.
Enjoy seeing the wide range of patients and issues presenting to general practice and all ages from newborns to ninety year olds, and improving their health outcomes. Experience includes recovery from illness, injury and surgery, ongoing care of chronic medical conditions, child and adolescent health and preventive health care.
Nicole Elsegood is our Practice Nurse.
Over 30 years of nursing experience. Providing all aspects of nursing care including spirometry, ECG's, dressings and wound care, vaccinations and childhood immunisations and women's health (cervical screening and breast checks).
Nicole is an elite athlete. She competes in marathons, triathlons and Ironman competitions throughout the world, regularly achieving a place in her age category. She is admired as a role model by athletes of all ages, and is particularly known for always encouraging others while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Amanda founded Thrive Nutrition & Dietetics because she is passionate about connecting people to what matters – their health, their food and each other. As Australia’s leading rock climbing dietitian, she prides herself on an innovative and evidence-based approach to nutrition, health and performance. Working with private practice patients and clients across a diverse range of life-stages and experiences and consulting across the sporting and aged care sectors, Amanda knows that long-lasting behavioural change is essential to health and happiness. She is passionate about people feeling and performing the best they can and takes an in-depth, evidence based approach to nutrition, health and performance. Amanda founded Thrive N&D to help people and athletes of all levels achieve their sporting dreams and health goals and to help non athletes evolve into a healthier and happier version of themselves.
